Why Purchase Handcrafted Soap and How to Care for Your Soap

I remember as a kid using a soap that floated in my bath water. I just let it float and never gave it a second thought. Did you know that most so-called bar soaps that you can purchase at the store can't legally be called "soap"? The package doesn't even say soap. The majority are really detergent bars called beauty bars.

Now that I am a little older, pay for my own products and am concerned about what I put on and in my body. I only use handcrafted soap. Our soap bars are made with skin loving butters and oils, without preservatives. Now that you have your favorite bar from Buckskin Mountain Soaps here are a few tips on how to make it last longer.

Handcrafted soap bars need a place to dry out between uses. And kept away from streams of water. The soap dish needs to be able to drain properly. It's very simple to care for handcrafted soap.

We currently offer soap savers that can be purchased at reasonable prices when you pick up your favorite soap. We are always on the lookout for new soap savers and will add more to our collection soon.
